We Still Have No Insurance

A Killer Asteroid was discovered on 27th December 2024 coming straight at us. The most worrying fact is that it was close, due to hit too soon for us to prevent disaster! It’s exact impact time was ominously of lottery odds: 2:02 pm in the afternoon of the 22nd of December 2032.🤪 It had a 3% chance of impact, about the same as a hurricane hitting a house in Florida.

Insurance companies have sliding scales according to what form of nature’s wrath wreakes havoc upon one’s property. You can insure almost anything, but once prediction of an asteroid strike is as high as this, apparently even they won’t gamble on those odds. Compare less likely deaths they do cover, like a personal lightening strike.

It took a few stressful days before astronomets confirmed the rock will just skim past. But if Earth’s gravity alters it’s trajectory and it does come back around on its return orbit, YR2 could come back to haunt us yet.

It’s never been about if but always when a meteor will hit the Third Rock from the Sun…again !
